The Best of the North
Itinerary:
28 april. Supe: We will visit Caral. This sacred city is situated in the middle of the Supe Valley, amid fertile lands close to the sea, and was inhabited by skilled fishermen, farmers and expert seafarers. It is one of the oldest cities in America and has been declared a world heritage site. It is composed of several temples built of stone with clay plaster.

Pm we will visit Paramonga known locally as La Fortaleza, it was built by the Chimú culture. The fine details of the massive temple have long been eroded, but the multitiered construction is nonetheless impressive and affords fantastic panoramas of the lush valley.
After this transfer to Casma valley.
29 april. Casma: we will visit Sechin, Known as Cerro Sechin (Sechin Hill) this archaeological site is one of the most important sites from the formative period of Peru. Its temple is decorated with stelae decorated with designs of warriors and sacrificed people.

Pm. transfer to Huaraz.
30 april. Huaraz: We will visit chavín, it was one of the most important of the pre-Inca temples. This complex has great artistic expression, represented by its special sculptures, which include the famous «Cabezas Clavas» and the «Lanzón» statue. was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1985.
01 may. Transfer Huaraz / Trujillo by Canyon del Pato route:
Cañón del Pato is on Santa River at the north end of the Callejón de Huaylas (Corridor of Huaylas) in north-central Peru. The mostly rocky canyon walls are too steep and arid for cultivation, and in only a few places are the slopes of the imposingly rugged canyon suitable even for grazing domestic animals. This route allows you to observe wonderful landscapes and go through 54 incredible tunnels along the canyon.

02 may. Trujillo Full Day:
We visit the sun and moon arqueological complexcomposed of two large adobe buildings dedicated to Moche administrative and religious rites. Wall paintings and remains of human sacrifices have been found. Then we visit the site museum, here we can see the archaeological pieces found in the excavations of the complex. among other things, Moche ceramics, textiles, wooden models and many pieces that will help us understand this great civilization.

We continue towards Chanchan where we will visit one of the nine palaces called Nik An in this palace we will have the opportunity to see its plazas, corridors, administrative areas, ceremonial well and cemetery of the Chimu royalty most of the areas are decorated with beautiful reliefs dedicated to the sea. Finally we will visit Huanchaco, an old fishing village where fishing continues to this day with old boats called «caballitos de totora».
03 may. Trujillo El Brujo Complex and City Tour:
We head to the Chicama valley, where we can appreciate the sugar cane crops and after an hour and a half of route we will arrive at the “El Brujo” archaeological complex, a place where man has remained from primitive times until the arrival of the Spanish. We will visit Huaca Cao Viejo, here beautiful polychrome reliefs dedicated to the sea have been found. In recent years, the tomb of a well-preserved Moche woman ruler with tattoos on her arms was discovered. Next, we visited the Museum of The Lady of Cao, which shows the cultural and occupation process of the complex and also exhibits the jewelry and body of this great Moche ruler.

Pm.We will visit the Plaza Mayor, where the history of the city begins with its foundation in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro. We will have an explanation of the architectural evolution of the city and we will be able to appreciate the beautiful colorful facades. Then we enter the colonial houses (subject to opening of the houses) We continue our tour to visit the UNT Museum of Archeology which presents an exhibition on the main cultures of the northern coast of Peru, this will allow us to have an introduction to the prehispanic era. Finally we will finish our tour in the Plaza «el Recreo» where we can appreciate the old water distribution system and the pool made of marble that was in the Plaza de Armas.
04 may. Transfer from Trujillo to Chiclayo – Ventarron.
We will go by private car to Chiclayo by the Panamericana Route and we will pass through valleys where sugar cane and rice are grown and through large deserts until we reach Chiclayo.
Pm. We will visit Ventarron temple. Cultural excursion. We head east of the City of Chiclayo passing through the town of Pomalca, a factory where sugar cane and local rum are processed. At the foot of the sacred hill we visited the Temple of Ventarrón. This is the oldest temple found near Chiclayo. Here the oldest mural paintings in America and evidence of the beginning of civilization in northern Peru have been found.
05 may. Chiclayo Full Day: Lord of Sipan.
We head towards Sipán-Huaca Rajada, the site of the discovery of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, where we visit the area of archaeological excavations. Then we continue to the city of Lambayeque where we stop for lunch.

Pm. We will visit the Museum of Royal Tombs of Sipán an impressive museum where the gold and silver jewelry from the tomb of the Lord of Sipán and the other tombs found in the archaeological complex are exhibited. Next we visit Túcume, also known as the Valley of the Pyramids, in the complex 26 Huacas belonging to the Lambayeque culture have been built, we will visit its modern site museum and see its main temples.
06 may. Chiclayo Full Day: Chaparri.
Nature Excursion, we go to Chongoyape, here we pick up an accompanying counselor from the community and we will leave for the Chaparrí ecological reserve where we will learn about the flora, fauna and re-introduced species which were in the process of extinction, such as: the spectacled bear, the white-winged guan and hummingbirds among others.

Finally, we will visit the Tinajones reservoir with its incredible panoramic views, we will enjoy the place with free time to take photos and videos.
07 may. Chiclayo Full Day: Sican Culture.
Cultural excursion. We head towards the northeast of Chiclayo passing through the towns of Pisci, Ferreñafe, an old Indian settlement, we make a short stop to observe its plaza and its church of colonial origin, then we head towards the Batán Grande reserve and enter towards the Forest Historical Sanctuary which is a protected Natural Reserve made up of the dry forest also called the Pomac Forest and around 20 temples of the Lambayeque culture, one of which (HUaca Loro) was excavated, reporting important tombs with pieces of gold in its inside. We will tour the forest to feel the spirit of nature and learn the ecosystem of the dry forest and if nature gives us the opportunity we will see birds of different species, foxes, squirrels, deer, etc. We continue towards the National Museum of Sicán, where those found in the archaeological complex of Batan Grande are shown, among which the Lord of the East Tomb stands out due to the strange position of his body when it was found and the wealth of jewels that his tomb contained.

Pm. we will visit the Bruning National Archaeological Museum, a place that houses the art and jewelry collections of the Lambayeque culture, and other cultures developed in the region.
